Michael A. Zara, Esq.
Michael Zara is a business law attorney with nearly two decades of legal experience, serving companies nationwide from his Denver, Colorado office. His unique combination of legal training and accounting expertise gives clients a practical, numbers-driven approach to business legal matters that most attorneys simply cannot offer.
Mike earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University. This dual foundation in law and finance allows him to see the complete picture when advising business clients on entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and corporate governance.
Raised in a working-class family in New Jersey, Mike was the first member of his family to attend college and the first to earn a law degree. That background instilled a deep respect for hard work, accountability, and the value of every dollar a business earns. He brings that same discipline and personal investment to every client engagement.

Approach to Client Service
Mike believes that strong legal results come from education, transparency, and communication. Every client receives his personal cell phone number because business decisions and legal emergencies do not follow a 9-to-5 schedule. He takes a hands-on approach, providing direct access and clear guidance throughout every engagement.
Whether you are launching a startup, negotiating a major acquisition, restructuring your corporate governance, or planning your business exit strategy, Mike Zara brings the same level of commitment and attention to every matter. He works to understand not just the legal issues, but the business context, financial implications, and long-term strategic goals behind every decision.
Nationwide Practice
While headquartered in Denver, Zara Business Law serves clients in all 50 states. Many business law matters, including entity formation, contract drafting, M&A advisory, and corporate governance consulting, can be handled effectively regardless of geographic location. For matters requiring local court appearances, Mike works with established local counsel partners throughout the country and regularly obtains pro hac vice admissions as needed.
Community & Personal
Outside the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, attending church, scuba diving, golfing, staying active, and giving back to the community. He and his firm adopt families during the holiday season as part of their ongoing commitment to service beyond the law.
Personal Injury Practice
In addition to his business law practice, Mike also maintains an active personal injury practice representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. His personal injury practice handles car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall injuries, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice, dog bite cases, and workplace injury claims across Colorado, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
